Thomas Pheasant, award-winning interior designer internationally recognized for his 30 years of creating interiors and furniture collections, was honoured as the 2016 Design Icon during the Winter Las Vegas Market on 26th Jan 2016. Now in its 10th year, the Design Icon Award recognizes a designer who has contributed to the industry throughout his or her career. It is also the hallmark event at the winter market, and offers other designers the chance to learn from “living legends.”

His diverse accomplishments have been widely published in the most prestigious architectural and interior design magazines around the world. In 2005, he was honored by Architectural Digest US with the distinction "Dean of American Design" and is a fixture on the AD100, the annual list of top architects and designers compiled by the magazine.

Pheasant is known for his look of luxurious understatement, with interiors that are at the same time modern and traditional.

“I am honored to be selected as the Design Icon for 2016 and to join the ranks of the amazing designers before me,” Pheasant said. “It is so rewarding to be recognized and feel that my work has contributed to the evolution of American design”.

During the event, Pheasant shared his experiences working with an impressive array of high-profile clients and imparted his design wisdom and philosophies.
