| 4 April 2011 Tipping the crowd this year at Salone del Mobile in Milan is VITRA new Tip Ton chair designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby.  This innovative all-plastic chair allows for a dynamic seating position thanks to a simple forward tilt action – allowing, for the first time, significant ergonomic benefits in a chair of this type. Edward Barber, born in Shrewsbury in 1969, and Jay Osgerby, born in Oxford in 1969; studied architecture and interior design together at the Royal College of Art in London. They founded their own architecture and design studio – Barber Osgerby – in 1996. Since then, they have worked together at the interface of industrial design, furniture design and architecture. The designers also designed the Cappellini - Hula Stool:
